We are no strangers to travel. You’d think
that we’d had enough by now but you’d be wrong. Despite the years of business
travel Mary still gets a buzz from visiting the great cities of the world as
well as some of those that are not so great! Philip on the other hand tends to
get a little excited although Mary would ask how anyone would know!
This trip is the grand retirement tour and
it will take us to some places neither of us have been before, notably New York
City where we will celebrate Mary’s 60th birthday. Never having a
burning desire to visit the US we are both excited about almost two weeks in
the ‘Big Apple’, just maybe we will discover what all the fuss is about.
Never having been able to avoid Paris this
city too is on the itinerary, along with San Francisco, Los Angeles, Boston,
London, Istanbul, Berlin, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Liverpool, York and of course,
Paris. In between there will be a leisurely cruise around the Greek Islands and
Mary’s dream trip to the Chelsea Flower Show!
